The YING RAY HA-AMA-01 is a direct replacement remote control for Amana air conditioners with the original model number YK1K. Unlike universal remotes, this unit is pre-programmed to match your specific system—no setup or pairing required. Simply install fresh AAA batteries (1.5V), and it’s ready to use out of the box.

If your remote fails to respond, check the battery contact spring (Type B). The included instructions show how to gently adjust it to ensure proper connection between the positive terminal and the spring. This common issue resolves most compatibility hiccups. Note: Batteries are not included—stock up on standard AAA types before use.

Will this remote work with any Amana air conditioner model?
No—this is a YK1K-specific replacement. It will not function as a universal remote for other Amana units.
What should I do if the remote doesn’t respond after inserting batteries?
Check the battery contact spring (Type B) and adjust it slightly to ensure the positive terminal makes contact, as shown in the product images.
